A wise individual once imparted their wisdom:

1. Refrain from making consecutive calls if someone doesn't answer. Assume they have pressing matters to attend to.

2. Return borrowed money promptly, even before the lender reminds or asks for it. This demonstrates your integrity and character. The same applies to borrowed items like umbrellas, pens, and lunch boxes.

3. Avoid ordering the most expensive dish on the menu when someone else is treating you to a meal.

4. Avoid asking uncomfortable questions such as, "Are you still unmarried?" or "Why haven't you bought a house?" It's not your concern.

5. Always hold the door open for the person behind you, regardless of gender or position. Treating others well in public doesn't diminish your worth.

6. If a friend pays for a taxi ride, try to pay for it next time.

7. Respect diverse opinions. Remember that what seems like a 6 to you may appear as a 9 to someone else. Embrace second opinions as alternatives.
8. Allow people to express themselves without interruption. As the saying goes, listen to all and filter accordingly.

9. If you tease someone and they don't seem to enjoy it, stop immediately and refrain from doing it again. Encouraging such behavior only shows a lack of appreciation.

10. Always express gratitude by saying "thank you" when someone helps you.

11. Publicly praise others and provide criticism in private.
There is rarely a reason to comment on someone's weight. Instead, compliment them by saying, "You look fantastic." If they wish to discuss weight loss, they will initiate the conversation.

12. When someone shows you a photo on their phone, avoid swiping left or right without permission. You never know what might follow.

13. If a colleague mentions having a doctor's appointment, don't inquire about the details. Say, "I hope you're okay." Avoid putting them in an uncomfortable position of disclosing personal health matters. If they wish to share, they will do so without your probing.

14. Treat janitors and CEOs with equal respect. People are not impressed by how rudely you treat those below you, but they will take notice if you treat everyone with respect.

15. It is impolite to stare at your phone when someone is speaking directly to you.

16. Refrain from offering unsolicited advice unless asked for.
When reuniting with someone after a long time, unless they express interest, avoid asking about their age and salary.
17. Mind your own business unless you are directly involved. Stay out of matters that do not concern you.

18. When conversing with someone on the street, remove your sunglasses as a sign of respect. Also, maintain eye contact, which is as important as your words.

19. Avoid discussing your wealth in the presence of those less fortunate. Similarly, refrain from discussing your children in the company of those unable to have children.

20. After reading a meaningful message, express gratitude by saying, "Thanks for the message." Appreciation is the simplest way to attract what you desire.
