One of the best quotes I’ve heard is “be careful who you share the good news with”
The better you do. The smaller your circle.
When you grow, they’ll say you’ve changed.
When you tire from drama, they’ll say you turned your back.
When you achieve, they’ll say your path was easy.
And when others talk you up. They’ll find a way to bring you back down.
There are people in your life that like knowing you need them. It’s strange but it’s true. They want to be needed. It’s all they know. And when you don’t need anything you either won’t hear much or they will constantly remind you of the time you needed them.
But there are also those people who will always be there. The ones who could be having their worst day and still would turn up to celebrate your best.
Those are your people. And you need to remind them of that.
